| About You Name: Age: (This game may deal with adult content; all players must be 18 or older) Email: Messenger Service(s): Time Zone: About Your Character Name: Age: Birthdate: Birthplace: Occupation: (If your character has only recently arrived in Daingerfield, their previous occupation will do. For longer standing Daingerfield residents, remember that Daingerfield is a small development; there is no market for a patisserie. A butcher might be more welcome, but only if you can convince the residents that it is worth spending the extra money and not just getting their meat straight from the ranchers. Or raising their own chickens. Simplify.) Desired PB: (No banned PBs at the moment, but please keep in mind the time period the game is set in and try as best as possible to ensure pbs fit. IE: A rap star with a ball cap and ten pounds of jewelry in every picture is not ideal.) Physical Appearance: (How do they dress? What do they always carry around with them? Distinguishing battle scars? How do they carry themselves?) Personality: (Strengths, weaknesses, hopes and dreams, fears and desires) Five Words Which Best Describe Your Character: Life Before Daingerfield: (Remember, nobody is born here. They must have come from somewhere. If they have amnesia and have forgotten, we still need to know what they don’t.) How did they come to be in Daingerfield: (If you’re planning to introduce your character to the town through gameplay, this can be a rough sketch.) Surviving Daingerfield: (This section is for characters that have been residents for some time—include their history here, relationships, standing, and general feelings about the town.) Samples 1. Please include a writing sample which best reflects your ability as a writer and gives us a feel for your character. This can be whatever style seems best suited to these guidelines, and only as long as you need it to be. This freedom is not meant to encourage slacking, but the best expression of a character on an individual basis. 2. To see how your steampunk gears grind, invent us something. It can be something your character uses regularly, or something more rare and specialized. It can be big or small, straightforward or fantastic. You don’t necessarily need to know how it works (it might not even work at all—that could be part of its charm), and you don’t necessarily need to deliver a technical written description. This sample could be a drawing, a narrative of your character interacting with this contraption, any way you want to describe it. |
